The company Meross has been accompanying us with its constantly growing HomeKit product range for several years now. Meross has an impressive and extensive range of HomeKit compatible devices.

From water leak sensors, to LED lights, indoor and outdoor plugs, smoke detectors, air purifiers, humidifiers, garage door openers and many more categories, much is covered. This at affordable prices, with easy installation as you are used to from HomeKit devices.

Recently added to the portfolio are the Meross Smart Wi-Fi Plug Mini which can be integrated into your Apple home via Matter, a Smart Wi-Fi socket thermostat and the temperature and humidity sensor with solar cell.

One of the most compact: Meross Wi-Fi Plug Mini with Matter MSS315

With dimensions of just 5 × 5 × 6.4 cm, the Meross Wi-Fi Plug Mini rightly bears its name. With these dimensions, it is one of the most compact Matter and HomeKit Smart Plugs.

For households that already fully rely on the Apple Home platform and corresponding devices such as the iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, HomePod, and Apple TV, the new power outlet adapter may not seem groundbreaking. Especially considering that there is already the current Meross Smart Wi-Fi Plug Mini MSS110HK, as well as other reliable HomeKit-enabled sockets from the manufacturer. However, if you share your home with Amazon Alexa or Google Home users, or if measuring power consumption via the Meross app is important to you, the new Matter Plug might be a suitable option for you.

By the way, in the past few days Meross added a new feature in its app. Now users can choose to view consumption or generation in the energy monitoring mode. In addition, the app also allows exporting the collected data. These values can be conveniently downloaded as a CSV file for any desired time period. Especially owners of a balcony power plant will enjoy it.

The Meross Wi-Fi Plug Mini with Matter is currently available in a double pack at a special price of only 32.29 EUR (16.15 EUR/pc.).

Unusual, with a raison d’être: Meross Smart Wi-Fi Socket Thermostat, Heating & Cooling MTS960

The Meross Plug Thermostat MTS960HK is simply placed between a plug and a heating or cooling appliance and monitors the temperature using an integrated temperature sensor.

If you’re looking to take control of a heating or cooling device with a maximum rating of 16A / 3,680W and integrate it into your Apple home, the new outlet thermostat from Meross could be just what you’re looking for. It has a temperature sensor with a cable length of two meters and an impressive measuring range of -30°C to 110°C. Thanks to the use of stainless steel in the sensor, it is even possible to measure the temperature in water, which should be extremely useful mainly for applications in the field of aquaristics or for hobby brewers.

The thermostat’s integrated display shows both the current room temperature and the desired target temperature. The target temperature can be set either directly on the device, via the user-friendly Meross app or via HomeKit. The Meross app also allows you to create a detailed temperature schedule with up to twelve individual time intervals per day.

In addition, the thermostat offers a variety of features for different application scenarios, including timer functions, alarms for too high or too low temperatures, notifications for sensor errors, and temperature calibration. Furthermore, it has a delayed safety function (compressor protection), which is particularly important in cooling applications.

Does not get tired: Meross Smart Temperature Humidity Sensor MS100FH

A temperature and humidity sensor with an integrated solar cell has also been introduced by Meross in the recent past. This sensor can also be seamlessly integrated into the Apple Home ecosystem via the small Meross Hub. The outstanding feature of this sensor is the use of a small solar cell, which promises a remarkable battery life of over six years.

This sensor (56 × 56 × 18 mm) is powered by a CR2477 coin cell. The built-in solar cell does not directly charge an internal battery, but rather reduces energy consumption. At a brightness of 150 lux, the sensor automatically switches from battery to solar operation.

Meross proudly emphasizes that this sensor is a “Swiss 4th Generation Sensor” that offers exceptionally high precision. Using the Meross app, historical data from the last two years can be viewed and exported.

As is the case with other Meross sensors, the new Meross Smart Temperature and Humidity Sensor MS100FH requires a hub to be fully functional. Through this hub, the device can be integrated with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant or Samsung SmartThings systems.

By the way, you can always find an up-to-date overview of all Meross products in your HomeDevices app.
