If you want to stream to your classic HiFi system via AirPlay 2, Eve Systems now offers the perfect device for you with the new Eve Play audio streaming adapter.

Originally announced at IFA in Berlin, Eve Play is now available with a slight delay of a few weeks. Equipped with analog and digital outputs, this sleek adapter allows AirPlay 2 to be retrofitted to classic HiFi systems.

This means you can not only stream content from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to the system, but also simultaneously play other speakers, such as the HomePod or Sonos speaker, using the multi-room function of AirPlay 2. Like all AirPlay 2 speakers, Eve Play can seamlessly integrate into Apple Home, allowing it to be incorporated into automations.

Not a Bargain

The device can be connected either directly via Ethernet or 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz WLAN. Eve Systems justifies the proud price of €149.95 with a modern design and a high-quality digital-analog converter from Texas Instruments. This converter is designed to process recordings in detail and cleanly with a signal-to-noise ratio of 112 dB.

The first units of Eve Play are now available on Amazon. The Belkin alternative is somewhat stripped down but is already available for about half the price.
