Signify announces app update
Signify, the parent company of Philips Hue, has announced new features for its app for fall 2023. This includes brightness compensation, which allows users to individually adjust the relative brightness of individual lamps in an entertainment area and thus dim particularly bright lamps more.
Furthermore, an update to the Philips Hue Bridge will increase the number of time windows in which motion sensors can activate lighting from two to ten. This allows an even better adaptation to the daily routine. As part of these time slots, the “Natural Light” scene can also be selected, which imitates sunlight.

The light strip is available for different monitor sizes. Furthermore, the company plans to integrate its devices into Matter and thus Apple Home via over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates. The SwitchBot Lock is scheduled to receive the corresponding update in July.

Eve Systems could soon expand its product portfolio. According to the FCC entry, there will be an audio receiver with the Eve Play in the future.
Eve Play is intended to act as a plug-and-play interface compatible with AirPlay 2. The receiver has Wi-Fi, LAN, coax, optical and analog outputs and HomeKit integration. It remains to be seen when this product will hit the market following ABB’s recent acquisition of Eve Systems.
Matter plug from Meross available on Amazon
The Plug can also be integrated into Apple Home via Wi-Fi thanks to Matter. In addition to controlling the connected consumer, the power consumption can also be monitored.
