Tedee has added a more affordable model to its portfolio: the Tedee Go, a smart door lock that uses the existing lock cylinder and therefore does not require replacement. With aluminum-look plastic and operation with three CR123A batteries, it is a cost-effective alternative to the already established Tedee.

New Products: Philips Hue E14 Luster, Surimu and Aurelle

Philips Hue has expanded its range of luminaires and presented new variants and sizes. The smallest lamp, Philips Hue E14 Luster, is now available as White Ambiance with adjustable white tones and White Ambiance & Color with over 16 million colors.

Signify announces app update

Signify, the parent company of Philips Hue, has announced new features for its app for fall 2023. This includes brightness compensation, which allows users to individually adjust the relative brightness of individual lamps in an entertainment area and thus dim particularly bright lamps more.

Furthermore, an update to the Philips Hue Bridge will increase the number of time windows in which motion sensors can activate lighting from two to ten. This allows an even better adaptation to the daily routine. As part of these time slots, the “Natural Light” scene can also be selected, which imitates sunlight.

More Matter updates from SwitchBot announced

SwitchBot has released a new update for its app and SwitchBot Hub 2. This allows users to view temperature and humidity readings from the external SwitchBot indoor/outdoor thermo-hygrometer directly on the Hub 2 display.

Furthermore, the company plans to integrate its devices into Matter and thus Apple Home via over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates. The SwitchBot Lock is scheduled to receive the corresponding update in July.

Eve Systems plans audio receiver “Eve Play”

Eve Systems could soon expand its product portfolio. According to the FCC entry, there will be an audio receiver with the Eve Play in the future.

Eve Play is intended to act as a plug-and-play interface compatible with AirPlay 2. The receiver has Wi-Fi, LAN, coax, optical and analog outputs and HomeKit integration. It remains to be seen when this product will hit the market following ABB’s recent acquisition of Eve Systems.

Matter plug from Meross available on Amazon

We have already reported on the Matter plug from Meross. After it could previously only be ordered via the manufacturer’s own online store, the device is now also available on Amazon.

The Plug can also be integrated into Apple Home via Wi-Fi thanks to Matter. In addition to controlling the connected consumer, the power consumption can also be monitored.

Prime Day 2023 announced
