The Eve Systems company is widely known for its smart home products and has caused quite a stir lately. On the one hand, the manufacturer has made it possible to access devices beyond the Apple cosmos with Matter, and on the other hand, Eve Systems was acquired by ABB Ltd. Now it seems that the company wants to further expand its portfolio.

A look at the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) confirms this, as our colleagues from appgefahren found out, because test logs of the Eve Play turned up there. It is presumably an audio receiver that makes classic audio solutions smart and has Wi-Fi, LAN, coax as well as optical and analog output. HomeKit integration is also planned. Meaning:

Eve Play is a user-friendly plug-and-play interface compatible with Apple AirPlay 2. It enables virtually limitless audio streaming and guarantees an exceptional listening experience for demanding audiophiles. By connecting to an amplifier, soundbar or powered speakers, Eve Play offers impressive sound quality. With its 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi capabilities, an Ethernet port, and three audio outputs, Eve Play integrates easily into a variety of setups.

However, it remains to be seen whether the product will be launched promptly after the ABB acquisition. Either way, it’s an interesting move from Eve Systems that could expand users’ smart home experience.

As soon as there are further details, we will of course inform you immediately.
