This week, a number of smarthome devices again went through the Matter certification process, including 31 lamps as well as an intermediate plug and a thermostat.

The colored lamps from Uascent can be integrated via Wi-Fi. However, the Chinese manufacturer is probably known to very few people. Founded in 2013, they focus on the Internet of Things and help other companies implement it.

Probably the most exciting newly certified device is the Nest thermostat. So far, the devices of the Google subsidiary cannot be integrated into HomeKit. With Matter that will change in the future.

In addition, Tapo has also had another device certified. The smart plug can not only control the connected consumer, but also measure energy consumption.

Although the devices are now certified, this does not automatically mean that they are already compatible with Matter. The manufacturer decides when the corresponding firmware updates are distributed and when the devices are generally released. Nevertheless, the way is paved for future compatibility with Matter. Below you will find the complete list of newly certified devices in the last seven days.
