We have already reported about the new Sonos Era 100 and Sonos Era 300 speakers several times. In the meantime, the manufacturer has officially unveiled the speakers and is now offering them for pre-order.

Both speakers can be controlled via the Sonos app or via voice control using Amazon Alexa or the manufacturer’s own voice assistant. In addition, the devices have a capacitive volume control. Thanks to AirPlay 2, the speakers can also be integrated into Apple HomeKit.

Ethernet is now only supported via a separately available adapter. For this, the speakers have Wi-Fi 6. The integrated microphones can be used for room measurement and can be completely deactivated via a switch on the back.

Not only the Ethernet adapter but also an AUX cable can be connected via USB-C. If that’s not enough, you can also feed in audio content via Bluetooth.

Sonos Era 100 replaces Sonos One

As already suspected, the new Sonos Era 100 replaces the Sonos One. Compared to the Sonos One, the new speaker has both new hardware and software. It has two tweeters that produce stereo sound and are supported by a midrange driver in the bass range.

Two speakers can also be connected to form a stereo system or, together with a soundbar, provide surround sound. The Sonos Era 100 can be pre-ordered for 279€. Delivery is scheduled to begin March 28, 2023.

Sonos Era 300 provides Dolby Atmos experience

The new Sonos Era 300 is considerably more expensive, but also more powerful. The speaker has a rather unusual hourglass-shaped design and features six drivers.

Two of the speakers coupled with the Sonos Arc or Sonos Beam are supposed to provide a Dolby Atmos experience. A maximum of two Era 300s, two subs and one soundbar can be connected to each other. The Sonos Era 300 can also already be pre-ordered for 499€. Delivery will also take place from March 28, 2023.
