After previously covering Aqara’s new smart lock, we don’t want to keep you in the dark about the manufacturer’s other new products.
Aqara Camera E1
With the Aqara Camera E1, the Chinese company aims to offer a pan-and-tilt camera. In addition to supporting Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, this camera also works with Apple Home and can even be used as a HomeKit Secure Video camera. Equipped with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, it features the latest technology.
Since this camera doesn’t serve as a hub like Aqara’s other models, it will come at a significantly more attractive price point. The manufacturer aims to offer the most affordable Pan/Tilt HomeKit Secure Video camera on the market, although they haven’t disclosed the exact price.
Aqara Wall Outlet (+ Dimmer)
If you want to replace your entire outlet with a connected HomeKit model, Aqara will soon have the right product for the European market. In addition to controlling the connected device, this outlet can also measure power consumption. The outlet communicates via Zigbee, so it requires a compatible hub from the manufacturer.
When it comes to the frame choice, Aqara is flexible. Users can easily replace it with their own frame to place multiple outlets side by side. Additionally, they plan to offer a dimmer switch in the future.
Aqara Dual Relay Module T2
If you don’t want to change the appearance of your wall outlet, Aqara also offers the right in-wall module. The Dual Relay Module T2, however, can be used for a wide range of applications. In addition to controlling lights and outlets, it can also control blinds, boilers, electric heaters, and electric underfloor heating. Power consumption can also be measured. To use it, you’ll need an Aqara Zigbee hub. Overheating and overload protection is also integrated. It supports devices up to 10A with a voltage range of 100-250V AC or 24-60V DC.
If you plan to use the device as an in-wall module, make sure the wall box is deep enough. At IFA, it appeared to be quite thick.
Aqara Ceiling Light T1M
We’re also excited about the new ceiling light. With a diameter of 50cm, you can set various shades of white. What makes the lamp particularly interesting is its multicolored LED ring, which can independently emit light in any color and play effects. The control is similar to the Aqara Light Strip.
The manufacturer also provides a use case: The LED ring can serve as a status indicator for devices such as an open door or a detected water leak. Connecting via Zigbee also requires a compatible hub. If the hub supports Matter, the lamp can also be used with the new smart home standard.
