Matter Outlet from Lidl Officially Certified
Lidl successfully certified its first Matter outlet through the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA). While previous Lidl devices required a hub for Apple Home integration, the retailer now embraces Matter-over-WiFi, eliminating the need for a hub.
Should the new outlet maintain a similar price to previous models, it’s expected to be around €10. With placement in over 3,200 stores, Lidl aims to bring the new smart home standard to more households.
Matter Update Released for Eve MotionBlinds
Eve Systems fulfilled a promise this week by providing a Matter update for the Thread-enabled Eve MotionBlinds. This allows seamless integration into major smart home platforms.
Moreover, the new firmware introduces an exciting option, Smart Shading, enabling blinds to automatically open or close based on the time of day and sunlight.
Matter Outlet and Bulb by Sengled
Sengled expands its offering with Matter-compatible devices – an outlet and an E27 bulb. Both are now available in more countries, including Germany.
The outlet supports up to 2,300 watts and measures 5.5 x 5.5 x 8.1 cm, while the E27 bulb offers a maximum brightness of 800 lumens and color features. With a suggested retail price of €14.99, both products are attractively priced.
Festive Scenes and Effects
As Christmas approaches, manufacturers are gearing up their devices and apps. Philips Hue, for instance, has unlocked ten scenes suitable for the holiday season, available now through the Hue Scene Gallery.
