After Apple released a new edition of the large HomePod, voices are being raised for a new HomePod mini. However, according to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple is not said to be actively working on a new version.

If you look at the features of the new HomePod, the statement that Apple will not update the HomePod mini is not surprising. The large model simply does not offer any real innovations compared to the HomePod mini.

Instead, Apple delivers new features via a software update for the small model as well. These include the temperature and humidity sensors, as well as the detection of alarms from smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Instead of developing a new HomePod mini, Apple is rumored to be working on a HomePod with an iPad-like smart display, as well as a device that combines the Apple TV, HomePod and Facetime.
