If you’re looking for a simple switch that both supports the new Matter smart home standard and works via Thread, the new TUO Smart Button might be for you.

The TUO Smart Button is a wireless switch powered by a CR2032 coin cell. The magnetic wall plate makes the switch mobile and still lets it be in place if desired.

The connection is made via Thread, which eliminates the need for an additional hub from the manufacturer. The switch can be integrated into Apple Home via Matter. A single, double and long button press can be used to control other devices.

The new TUO Smart Button can be purchased via the manufacturer’s own website for $34.99. However, shipping is extra and can be expensive outside the United States. By the way, stickers are also included to personalize the switch.
