The days of tedious household chores could soon be a thing of the past, thanks to SwitchBot’s latest product. The company that started with the button-pressing SwitchBot Bot has announced the SwitchBot S10, an autonomous vacuum and mop robot

The future vision of a completely autonomous vacuum and mop robot becomes reality with the SwitchBot S10 – a step towards a future where boring housework is a thing of the past.

The highlight of the SwitchBot S10 is the autonomous water station. This battery-powered station is directly connected to the water supply and automatically takes care of refilling the fresh water and emptying the dirty water tank. Additionally, there’s a charging station that dries the mop. The result? A fully automated floor cleaner that takes away the tedious work, at least that’s the promise.

Unfortunately, there is one thing the SwitchBot S10 cannot do: take out the trash. So, the dustbin still needs to be emptied about every 70 days. A fact that’s quite manageable considering its other autonomy.

Simple Installation

We can already sense your concerns: Connecting to the fresh water line and the wastewater must be complicated. However, SwitchBot has thought about this too, and we’d summarize it like this: If you feel confident connecting a washing machine, installing the water station should be no problem either.

Thanks to the adapter, this can be easily installed under the sink in the kitchen, the sink in the bathroom or even in the household room next to the washing machine. No free power socket is required, as the station can be battery-operated. The clever part: While the vacuum and mop robot replenishes the fresh and wastewater tanks, it charges the station.

If no connection to the fresh and wastewater supply is possible or desired, SwitchBot offers an independent cleaning and wastewater station, similar to what is already known from other manufacturers.

Robot Supplies Humidifier with Water and Power

But the collaboration goes even further. The robot can also supply the new SwitchBot humidifier. For this purpose, both the battery of the device can be charged and the fresh water tank can be filled automatically.

High-Quality Vacuum and Mop Robot

With all the innovations, SwitchBot has not forgotten about the technology for the real task, vacuuming and mopping. The roller mopping system, which is different from other mopping robots, scrubs and washes at the same time, and its roller mop cleans independently at 300 movements per minute without returning to the base station. This system protects the floor and keeps carpets dry.

Users can easily set no-go zones and specify rooms for cleaning in the app. The S10 also features artificial intelligence for obstacle avoidance.

The SwitchBot S10 will be available on Kickstarter starting from October 13th for $1,199.99, promising a fully automated and effortless floor cleaning experience. The combination of autonomous water station, self-cleaning mop and smart features makes the S10 a promising product. We’ll keep you posted.
