The IKEA Home smart app for the IKEA DIRIGERA Hub has just received an update to version 1.7.0. One of the new features is the possibility to set the behavior of lamps after a power interruption.

Whether it’s a power outage or the flip of a conventional light switch, if a smart lamp is out of power, it’s also unreachable. How a lamp behaves once the power is back is another story.

Some manufacturers turn the lamp on, others remember the last state, and others let the user decide how the lamp should behave. IKEA is now one of the latter. With the new app update, users can decide for themselves what should happen.

In addition, the furniture giant has revised the scenes and from now on allows you to deactivate them automatically. Specific times or even sunrise or sunset can be used. The update is available in the App Store.
