Original post from February 16, 2023 at 9:15 a.m.: If you want to keep your existing blinds but still don’t want to miss out on the smart technology of Eve MotionBlinds, Eve Systems now has the right upgrade kit for you.
Eve MotionBlinds could previously only be ordered from various blind manufacturers. Even if the choice of fabrics is huge, one or the other certainly already has roller blinds in use, which will continue to be used in the future.
Eve Systems now offers an upgrade kit for this very purpose. In addition to the motor and wall brackets, it also includes various adapters for a wide variety of pipes.
After installation, the usual functionality is available. The connection is made via Thread, start and end position can be defined and the blind can be controlled via HomeKit and in the future also via Matter.
The existing roller blind must be at least 680mm wide and have an outer tube diameter (without fabric) between 38 and 51mm. Roller blinds from IKEA are not supported.
Actually, the upgrade kit should be available at the end of March. Now it’s already listed with Eve Systems as the seller for €199.95 on Amazon in Germany.
