Aqara continues to expand its own product portfolio and is now offering an exciting HomeKit video doorbell in China, the Aqara G4 Video Doorbell. This is to be available in a slightly modified version worldwide as well from March.

We have already reported that Aqara wants to offer a video doorbell in addition to a new presence detector, a light strip and a door lock for the American market. Meanwhile, the new HomeKit device has been launched in China and the first reviews are online.

The video doorbell can be either hardwired or battery operated. In addition, a freely placeable gong is included. To begin with, the device supports HomeKit Secure Video in addition to Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. The new Matter smarthome standard is to follow later.

In contrast to the Chinese version that has now been launched, the international model is supposed to enable a backup on a memory card in addition to the recordings in the cloud or via HomeKit Secure Video in the iCloud. Furthermore, an angle bracket will be included. In March, the new HomeKit video doorbell should be available in other countries as well.

You can easily see how many devices the company now offers in our devices overview and also in HomeDevices.
