In a just-released update, Philips Hue has upgraded its app to version 4.46 and now offers an improved version of the interactive scene “Natural Light”. This new feature allows you to adjust your lighting settings to the local sunset time instead of just setting fixed times.

The app’s release notes say, “You can now set the Natural light scene to automatically adjust to your local sunset time. To try it out, tap the pencil icon next to your Natural light scene, and then set Auto-adjust to Sunset.”

Until now, you could only store fixed times in the scene that automatically adjusts the color tones throughout the day. If you don’t see the new feature in the app after the update, you’ll have to be patient. It’s not uncommon for Philips Hue to announce new features with an app update, but only release them after a few days.

You can download the update to version 4.46.0 for free from the App Store.
